If you’re wanting a challenge and are new to fly fishing, this is the right place for you. Basic knowledge of bugs and fly fishing skills will get it done here but it isn’t a walk in the park. Experienced anglers will find this creek very rewarding by having the chance to catch both brook and brown trout on dry flies. Dry fly fishing will be the name of the game here and the fish will be looking up. Basic dry fly patterns will work here, examples are purple haze, elk hair caddis, and blue winged olives. When approaching the river, just plopping into holes won’t work. A little bit of stealth is required to catch these fish. The wildlife is abundant in this area and makes for a great adventure. Crowds won’t be your enemy here and you will find solitude on the water. Do be ready for mosquitos because they are all over and looking for the next meal.  As always, watch out for private water and land, and do not cross or fish without owners permission.
