The South Fork of the South Arkansas River is a little patch of brook trout paradise.  Kids, beginners or anyone want to just catch a bunch of small and eager brook trout should not skip over this area.  The fish can be spooky so stay low and slow.  If you can’t get the fish to eat, try fishing downstream instead and skating a dry fly around the water.  Brook trout love flies that move so its never a bad idea to try a wet or dry fly skated.  The area is beautiful and on weekdays can often how few people on it giving you a fun day to relax in the wild and catch wild trout.
