Dolores river suffers from consistent flows and ranchers draining the river, but when the flows remain above 100cfs, the fishing is good.  The river is slow and delicate drifts are needed to fool the trout, but some sizeable fish are found in the river that hold out from year to year.  It’s another one of the many great options to fly fish in southern Colorado and with miles of river to access, it’s a great place to explore.
