The Florida river is rugged and pristine.  Waters like these stay secluded because they are difficult to access and are surrounded by many other waters that are also excellent to fish.  For those who truly wish to explore new waters, the Florida river is an excellent option.  Difficult hiking due to heavily wooded and steep rocks make the hiking slow but rewarding and as river access reveals itself the trout are cunning and wild.  Once hooked, the game only just begins with these fish and the difficulty of landing them makes it all that more rewarding.

For the true explorers and adventures that want to see what Colorado backcountry has to offer, the Florida river offers great opportunity.  Be safe and plan for survival and enjoy what the state has to offer.
