Though it is still designated as gold medal water, it is likely not up to the same standard is it used to be. Habitat destruction has hurt the river, but there are still many fish that will test your skills as an angler. It isn’t known to be an easy river, but it holds some excellent fish and a good variety of all four trout. If you’re looking for a day trip to catch the grand slam, this is a place to try. The river is unique because it’s pretty small but it holds some large fish. This is always exciting because you don’t expect that size of trout to come out of a river like this but they are certainly in there and for the patient angler you can have a great day that is very rewarding.
