The Los Pinos is true Colorado wilderness.  Above Vallecito reservoir, you put your hiking and biking shoes on and can work your way upstream for miles catching all four kinds of trout.  The trout are wild and hard fighting and don’t put up too much trouble in eating your fly most times.  It’s a river that reminds me of what it must have been like 100 years ago before many of us were here.  It’s a great place to spend a day or weekend and the further you hike, the more beautiful it becomes.
