The Top Secret Midge was created for the South Platte River in Colorado to fool the fickle, college-educated trout in the rocky mountain waters. Being a Colorado Native, I can attest to the success of this fly on some of the toughest waters to fish in the world. The Top Secret Midge is one of my all time favorite fly patterns and works anywhere in the nation. It can fool selective trout with ease and is even possible to fish without an indicator and sight fish with it in the right conditions.
The Top Secret Midge imitates a midge nymph or emerger and is available to purchase by the dozen in a variety of sizes. We also offer it in sampler packs which are 3 different sizes to make up a dozen. It’s a great way to have a variety of sizes in your box rather than buying 36 of this fly just to get variety (though you’d use all 36 of this fly, that is for sure)
