Spring creek is a small tributary of the Taylor river that holds small brown trout.  The scenery is gorgeous and the fishing can be decent to excellent.  The fish aren’t as dumb as you’d expect out of a high mountain stream, but they are still fairly easy to catch with the right fly and a decent cast.  The river has two major areas that differ in their composition.  The upper section plateaus into a meadow where you can fish in the open and the lower section is more willow and wooded making casts tighter and more difficult.  Both are great spots and the harder fishing is often the better fishing.  Check out this small creek if you have some time to burn and you don’t want to fish any of the other 25+ rivers in the area.
