Trout Creek is a great little gem close to town that can be fun to explore for the day if you aren’t up for fishing the bigger waters of the south platte nearby.  Best fished in late spring right before runoff or later in the summer, the creek can provide some fun fishing with technical casts to avoid the surrounding foliage.  Not too many large trout in these waters, but some larger trout exist closer to the private stretches of rainbow falls that can escape out.  Most fish however are 13 inches and under.  It’s a fun spot to explore if you’re looking for something new or want to fish smaller water nearby.
