A small creek full of brook trout, tanglewood creek is a short drive past Conifer up Deer creek road.  When the road dead ends, you can park and hike up along deer creek and on the right you’ll soon find tanglewood creek, a tributary of deer creek.  Tight quarters and small fish make this a place to easily find solitude most days and with it so close to the front range it’s a good place to get away for a half day or full day trip.  Deer creek is arguably bigger and more fishable, but this creek is noteably beautiful and a unique experience hiking up into the Mount Evans Wilderness Area.  Take a look into this creek and enjoy the brook trout and eagerness of the fish as you hike up this fun river.
