Trail creek has a good mix of easy fishing and technical small stream fishing.  It’s one of my favorites in the area, cause you could take your 4 yr old kid up there and find some brook trout to eat the first fly that lands in the beaver ponds, and then 500 yds downstream where it’s just a creek, struggle to make perfect, drag-free drifts to small wild browns.  The fish are spooky in the creek, and easy in the ponds.  This mix is hard to find in most small creeks, but you get the best of both worlds here.  While in the area of Taylor park, this is a good creek that is fun to hit for a day.

Please be careful taking any fish out of the creek.  Though the numbers are good, too much harvesting of brook trout will cause issues long term for this fishery.  Catch and release all the browns.
